Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy
Extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) has been proven effective in the disintegration
of kidney stone since the early 1990s. Today, ESWT has been widely accepted for
orthopaedic use. The Orbasone has been clinically proven to be safe and effective in
treating heel pain (also known as plantar fasciitis).

No one really knows just how ESWT acts to relieve pain. There are several different
theories which include: altering cell metabolism and generating mechanical stimuli that may
result in neovasculation. If neovasculation does occur, the effect may be that the enhanced
local circulation could promote the healing process.
